Woman in Nokia suspected of attempted homicide after axe attack

Police in Central Finland are investigating a suspected attempted homicide after a woman allegedly struck a man in the head with an axe at a private residence in Linnavuori, Nokia, on Saturday afternoon.

The incident was reported to authorities at approximately 3:00 PM. Yle reports that the woman, believed to be around 50 years old, is accused of attacking an adult man with whom she had a prior acquaintance. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment but is not currently in life-threatening condition (Yle, Helsingin Sanomat).
