Father Suspected of Attempted Murder of Son in Pyhtää and Violent Attack in Lahti – Police Reveal Motive Insights

A 52-year-old man from Helsinki is in custody on suspicion of attempted murder after a violent incident involving his 8-year-old son in Pyhtää during Midsummer weekend. The same man is also suspected of stabbing his spouse and assaulting his child in a separate incident in Lahti days later. Police have now revealed they have a preliminary understanding of the man’s motive in the Pyhtää case.
