Savonlinna District Court Orders Mental State Examination for Man Accused of Family Homicide at His Request
The South Savo District Court has ordered a mental state examination for a 23-year-old man accused of murdering his family in a fire in Savonlinna last year, following a request from the accused himself Yle reports. The court found no considerable doubt regarding the man’s guilt in the acts described in the charges, stating that he could not have escaped the burning house in the manner he claimed without sustaining injuries (Ilta-Sanomat).
