Lapland service home ordered to rectify serious care deficiencies after fatal incident, as Lapha disputes staffing claims

The Licensing and Supervision Authority (LVV) has issued a binding order to the Lapland Wellbeing Services County (Lapha) to address critical shortcomings at the Männikkö service home in Ivalo by 31 August. The decision follows an unannounced inspection triggered by a fatal incident in January, where an elderly resident died under circumstances that endangered client safety.
