Person Rescued from Well in Lohja After Strength Fails During Inspection
A resident of Lohja was rescued from a well on Wednesday afternoon after becoming trapped while attempting to inspect a water meter. The incident occurred on Turuntie at approximately 12:30 p.m., according to the Rescue Service of Western Uusimaa.
The individual had entered the well to check the meter but ran out of strength midway, prompting an emergency call for assistance. Ilta-Sanomat reports that an external bystander alerted authorities after noticing the person in distress. The Rescue Department of Western Uusimaa confirmed in a bulletin that the individual was lifted out of the well by a unit from their contract fire brigade (Iltalehti).
Emergency medical services assessed the person at the scene, but no injuries were reported. The rescue operation concluded without further complications.
