Fatal Traffic Accident in Nivala Claims Life of 60-Year-Old Driver
A traffic accident in Nivala on Thursday resulted in the death of a 60-year-old man. The incident occurred on Haapajärventie Road near Jokikylä shortly after 12:30 PM, when the driver’s passenger car veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a lorry.
The man, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver was uninjured in the crash, according to police reports. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which is being treated as a case of endangerment of traffic safety (Ilta-Sanomat).
