Pallas's Cat Cubs Born at Korkeasaari Zoo – Largest Litter for the Species in Helsinki
Korkeasaari Zoo has announced the birth of three Pallas's cat cubs, marking the largest litter for the zoo’s breeding pair and the largest recorded for the species at the facility. The cubs, now two months old, were first observed in early May when their mother, Mimi, began spending extended periods in her nesting box. Zoo staff later confirmed the birth after seeing Mimi carrying one of the cubs in her mouth (Ilta-Sanomat). Yle reports that this is the largest litter born so far to Korkeasaari Zoo's "little-known and elusive" Pallas's cat breeding pair.
