Share

The first tax refunds of the year have been disbursed today, with approximately 200,000 individuals receiving a combined total of around €217 million, according to the Tax Administration. The payments are being made to sole proprietors, agricultural operators, and their spouses, with funds expected to arrive in accounts throughout the day (Yle, MTV Uutiset).

The Tax Administration states that tax refunds will continue to be paid to Finns from the beginning of July until the end of the year. The majority of recipients are expected to receive their refunds in August or September (Yle). Most taxpayers will receive their tax decisions and information on potential refunds electronically, either through the OmaVero (Yle) or MyTax (MTV Uutiset) service.
