Armed Threat Against Pori Municipal Employee in Sampola

A municipal employee of the City of Pori was threatened with a firearm during working hours on Monday morning in the Sampola district of Eastern Pori. The incident occurred when the employee was confronted by an individual brandishing a weapon, though no shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene after the threat but was swiftly located and apprehended. The individual is now suspected of aggravated firearms offense and unlawful threat (Yle; Ilta-Sanomat).

Yle reports that the firearm was not discharged during the incident, and authorities confirmed that the situation did not escalate further. The motive behind the threat remains unclear.
