Police have detained three adult men in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in Pimeesalmi, a recreational area north of Tampere. The suspects are being held on charges of attempted homicide, according to lead investigator Heikki Järnström.

The attack took place outdoors at 00:55 near Pimeesalmi harbor, where the Pimeefest music festival had been held on Friday and Saturday. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Roope Kuusisto—a reality TV star known from Temptation Island Suomi—was struck with a bladed weapon. One suspect was detained at the scene, while two others were apprehended later on Sunday evening. The weapon has since been recovered by police.

Järnström confirmed that the three suspects are now together and that Sunday would be used for intensive questioning. However, he declined to comment on whether the stabbing was connected to the festival or a separate altercation that occurred near the harbor on Saturday evening, which police are investigating as aggravated assault (Ilta-Sanomat, Iltalehti).

The earlier incident, which took place during the night between Friday and Saturday, involved multiple assaults, including aggravated assault, assault, and minor assault, according to the Police of Eastern Finland. Authorities have interviewed those involved and are seeking additional information from eyewitnesses, including any recordings or observations. Pimeefest, held at the Pimeesalmi Shipyard in Ylöjärvi on July 3–4, featured performances by artists including Petri Nygård, Reino Nordin, and Teflon Brothers. The festival’s conclusion appears to have been marred by the violent incidents (Iltalehti).
