Violent Incident at Ylöjärvi’s Pimeesalmi Shipyard Under Investigation
Police in Eastern Finland are investigating a violent incident that occurred during the night between Friday and Saturday at the parking lot of Pimeesalmi shipyard in Ylöjärvi. The case is being treated as aggravated assault, assault, and minor assault, with authorities actively seeking witnesses to the event.
According to the police, multiple eyewitnesses were present at the scene, and investigators are requesting observations, tips, and any recordings related to the incident. The altercation took place near the Pimeefest event, a two-day festival held at the Pimeesalmi Shipyard on July 3–4. Ilta-Sanomat reports that Roope Kuusisto, a 30-year-old known from the Temptation Island Suomi television program, was injured in the assault.
Authorities have already interrogated those involved in the incident. The police have clarified that this case is separate from another ongoing investigation in the same area, where three adult men are suspected of attempted homicide in a different altercation (MTV Uutiset).
