Finnish berry producers Frozen Berry Ltd. and Pakkasmarja have issued precautionary recalls for batches of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and arctic brambles due to potential flavor and odor defects. The recalls affect products delivered on Saturday, 4 July, and sold exclusively in Prisma stores under the HOK-Elanto chain. Consumers who purchased berries from other retailers are advised that their products are safe for consumption.

Both companies report that the defects may have been caused by incorrect transportation or storage conditions. While no health risks have been identified, the berries in question are not recommended for consumption. Frozen Berry Ltd. and Pakkasmarja are investigating the root cause of the quality issue.
