Elderly Man Drowns While Swimming in Rauma

A 73-year-old man drowned on Saturday afternoon while swimming at Korpela Beach on Lake Narvi in Rauma. The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 PM, when the man suddenly sank beneath the surface.

Emergency services, including the Satakunta Rescue Department, medical personnel, and police, were dispatched to the scene after an alert was received at 17:19 (Yle, MTV Uutiset). The man was rescued and brought to shore, but he was pronounced dead at the scene (Ilta-Sanomat).
