Fire in Raisio Detached House Causes Smoke Damage but No Injuries
A fire broke out early Monday morning in the garage of a detached house in Raisio, prompting an emergency response from the Southwest Finland Rescue Department. The incident occurred shortly before 6:00 AM, with the rescue department receiving the alert at 5:48 AM (Iltalehti).
At the time of the fire, three people and pets were inside the residence. All occupants managed to evacuate safely before emergency crews arrived, and no significant injuries were reported. Emergency medical services assessed the residents on-site, but none required further medical attention (Ilta-Sanomat).
Eight rescue units were dispatched to the scene (Iltalehti). Firefighters extinguished the blaze and ventilated the premises to clear smoke. While the fire caused minor smoke damage to the living spaces, the house remains habitable after the cleanup (Ilta-Sanomat).
Raisio is located approximately ten kilometers northwest of Turku. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed in the initial reports.
