German Woman Missing in Salla After Car Found in River
Police in Lapland are continuing their search for a German woman, approximately 50 years old, who went missing in the village of Saija in Salla at the end of June. The woman was last seen near the Teinniö River, where a game camera captured her image (Iltalehti).
The investigation began on Monday, 29 June, when authorities received a report of an empty passenger car found in the water. According to the Lapland Police Department, the vehicle was driven by the missing woman, who has dark brown, medium-length hair (MTV Uutiset). No one was inside the car when it was discovered (Ilta-Sanomat).
