Aviation Incident at Turku Airport Causes Brief Alert
Southwest Finland Rescue Services issued an alert on Thursday evening following a malfunction during an aircraft’s takeoff acceleration at Turku Airport. The incident occurred after 7:00 PM, prompting authorities to assess the situation.
According to the rescue services, the aircraft experienced a technical issue while accelerating for takeoff but managed to return safely to its starting point without further complications. At the time of the incident, six people were on board the plane (Iltalehti).
No emergency response was required at the scene, and the situation was resolved without intervention from authorities (MTV Uutiset). The Southwest Finland Rescue Services confirmed that the alert was lifted following the aircraft’s safe return.
