Masked man robs K-Market in Hämeenlinna, suspect arrested
A masked man robbed the K-Market Nuppola in Hämeenlinna on Thursday afternoon, making off with approximately €400 from the store’s cash register. The incident occurred at around 3:00 PM, when the suspect threatened staff with a knife before fleeing the scene.
Police were alerted to the robbery shortly after it took place (Ilta-Sanomat). According to eyewitness accounts, the perpetrator left in a vehicle matching a description later used to track him down. The car was found abandoned near a roadside in the area, leading officers to a private residence where the suspect was located.
The arrested man is approximately 22 years old, and the police report that the arrest proceeded without incident (Ilta-Sanomat; MTV Uutiset). Authorities have confirmed that no other individuals are suspected in connection with the crime. The case is being investigated as aggravated robbery.
