Widespread Disruptions Reported Across Finnish and Swedish Websites
Several major Finnish and Swedish websites experienced significant disruptions on Thursday morning, with users reporting sluggish performance or complete outages.
In Finland, the affected services include Veikkaus, MTV Katsomo, Elisa, and Danske Bank. Veikkaus’ communications representative Kalle Kyrö confirmed that the issue was first detected around 11:15 AM. According to MTV Uutiset, Veikkaus’ website displayed a message indicating system congestion, preventing users from accessing the platform. Danske Bank’s online banking services were also impacted, particularly during login attempts (MTV Uutiset).
In Sweden, the gaming company ATG’s websites were reported as non-operational (Ilta-Sanomat).
Both Veikkaus and Elisa have acknowledged the disruptions, though the exact cause remains under investigation. Ilta-Sanomat reports that the situation is being actively reviewed by the affected companies.
