Two Missing Persons Cases in Finland: One Found Dead, Another Still Sought

Police in Finland are investigating two separate missing persons cases, one of which has ended in tragedy while the other remains unresolved.

In Kokkola, a man born in 1995 who had been reported missing has been found dead, according to Ilta-Sanomat. Authorities confirmed the discovery but stated that no crime is suspected in the case. The police are now investigating the cause of death. The man’s disappearance was first reported on Friday, when police appealed for public assistance in locating him (Ilta-Sanomat).

Meanwhile, in Kuopio, the Eastern Finland Police Department is continuing its search for a 74-year-old man who went missing from the Niirala district. The man is described as approximately 170 centimeters tall, slender, and nearly bald. Authorities have not released details about his clothing. The public has been urged to report any sightings to the emergency number 112 (Iltalehti, Ilta-Sanomat, MTV Uutiset).

Both cases remain under investigation.
