Burglary at Kauhajoki jeweler’s shop investigated as aggravated theft
Police in Ostrobothnia are investigating a burglary at a jeweler’s shop in the center of Kauhajoki, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The incident is being treated as aggravated theft, with authorities suspecting that a significant amount of property was stolen.
According to the police, a security company received an alarm from the premises at 4:25 AM, but the perpetrators had already fled before the guard arrived. Iltalehti reports that the burglary took place between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Police are conducting technical investigations at the scene as part of their preliminary inquiries.
Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any observations of suspicious individuals or vehicles in the area between 4:00 and 5:00 AM. Ilta-Sanomat notes that all tips related to the incident or the suspects’ movements could be crucial to the investigation.
