Passenger Car on Railway Tracks Disrupts Ring Rail Line Traffic in Vantaa

Train services on the Ring Rail Line have been temporarily suspended following an incident in Vantaa, causing delays and cancellations for I- and P-trains. The disruption affects routes between Helsinki Airport and Helsinki Central Railway Station, with no estimate yet available for when normal operations will resume.

According to the Railway Traffic Center, a passenger car veered onto the railway tracks between Kivistö and Aviapolis stations early Friday morning (Ilta-Sanomat). Rescue services are currently at the scene, working to remove the vehicle. The cause of the incident has not been disclosed.

VR has advised passengers to check its online service at vr.fi for possible replacement transport arrangements (Yle). Both I- and P-trains, which operate on the affected section of the Ring Rail Line, are experiencing disruptions.
