Police Search for Missing 23-Year-Old Autistic Man in Turku
Police in Turku are urgently searching for a 23-year-old autistic man who went missing on Wednesday evening. The man disappeared between 19:30 and 23:30 from either the Nummi area or the nearby Student Village (Ylioppilaskylä), according to authorities.
Ilta-Sanomat reports that the man is not from Turku and is unable to navigate the city independently. Police have also stated that he does not seek out the company of others on his own. The missing individual is described as approximately 173 centimeters tall, of average build, and was last seen wearing black clothing—a T-shirt with a button-up shirt over it. His brown hair may be tied in a ponytail.
Authorities are urging the public to report any sightings immediately to the emergency center by calling 112 (Iltalehti). The police have shared an image of the man to assist in the search.
