Underage Girl Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Seinäjoki
Police in Ostrobothnia are appealing for witnesses after an underage girl was struck by a car while cycling in Seinäjoki on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 17:30 near the intersection of Ruukintie Road and Kivistö’s S-market, where the girl was crossing with a green traffic light.
According to police reports, the girl was thrown from her bicycle after being hit by a white Volvo SUV towing a trailer. The trailer was covered with a tarpaulin secured by Gigant-branded advertising tape (Ilta-Sanomat). The vehicle’s occupants, a man and a woman estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old, stopped briefly but left the scene without providing their contact details (Iltalehti).
