Serious Car Accident on Keskustatie in Sipoo Leaves One Injured

A high-speed collision on Keskustatie in Sipoo on Saturday evening resulted in a burning vehicle and injuries to two individuals. The accident occurred shortly before 7:00 PM when a driver lost control of their car, which then struck a tree and caught fire.

According to the Eastern Uusimaa Rescue Department, there was one person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. A bystander managed to pull the driver from the burning car before emergency services arrived. Ilta-Sanomat reports that both the driver and the rescuer suffered smoke inhalation and were transported to Porvoo Hospital for treatment (Ilta-Sanomat).

Fire Chief Mika-Kristian Tepsa stated that four rescue units responded to the scene, where the car was engulfed in intense flames. The fire was extinguished quickly, though the vehicle was severely damaged. MTV Uutiset notes that another car sustained minor damage in the incident (MTV Uutiset).

Police are investigating the cause of the accident. The extent of the injuries to those involved has not been disclosed.
