HoviRuoka Recalls Dairy-Free Rice Porridge Due to Undeclared Milk
A Kouvola-based food manufacturer, HoviRuoka Oy, has initiated a recall of its HoviRuoka Dairy-Free Rice Porridge 300 g after the product was found to potentially contain milk. The Finnish Food Authority has confirmed that milk is not listed on the packaging, posing a risk to consumers with milk allergies.
The recall affects the batch with the best-before date of 8 August 2026 (Yle). Iltalehti reports that the issue was identified by the manufacturer, which confirmed that the product may trigger allergic reactions in individuals with a milk allergy.
The affected batch has been distributed to select stores within the K Group and S Group retail chains (Yle, Iltalehti). Consumers who have purchased the product are advised to check the best-before date and avoid consumption if they are allergic to milk.
