Police arrest man in Espoo after shooting incident in Espoonlahti
Police have arrested a man suspected of attempted manslaughter and an aggravated firearms offense following a shooting incident in Espoonlahti, Espoo, on Monday evening. No injuries were reported.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 PM on Maakravunkuja, where the suspect allegedly fired several shots at two individuals he had previously known. Yle reports that the man fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. The suspected weapon has since been secured by authorities.
Detective Chief Inspector Jyrki Kallio confirmed in a police bulletin that multiple patrols were dispatched to the area following the shooting. Ilta-Sanomat notes that the suspect was taken into custody later that evening.
