Violent Aggravated Robbery in Kerava Targets Teenager

Police are investigating a suspected aggravated robbery in Kerava, where a group of young men violently assaulted and robbed a 17-year-old boy in late July. The incident occurred on Junailijankuja at approximately 1:00 AM on 23 July, as the victim was walking home from a train station (Helsingin Sanomat).

According to Eastern Uusimaa Police, the perpetrators—estimated to be five to eight men aged 18–20—threatened the victim with a bladed weapon before stealing his gold necklace, iPhone 15, shoes, and jacket. During the attack, the victim was struck in the face and kicked, though he did not know the assailants beforehand (MTV Uutiset).
