Young Person Found Drowned in Iisalmi
A nearly adult-aged young person was found drowned in Iisalmi on Thursday, authorities confirmed. The incident prompted a response from emergency services after an alert was received at 17:47.
MTV Uutiset and Yle report that the police, rescue department, and emergency medical services were dispatched following a report that a person may have ended up in the water. The young person, described as nearly of legal age, was later found deceased. Ilta-Sanomat and Iltalehti also confirm the discovery, with Iltalehti specifying the date as 6 August.
