Man Fires Handgun in Helsinki’s Käpylä District, No Injuries Reported
On Saturday afternoon, police responded to multiple emergency calls reporting a man firing shots into the air in the Käpylä district of Helsinki. The incident occurred near the intersection of Koskelantie and Käpyläntie shortly after 1:00 PM, according to the Helsinki Police Department.
Police patrols located the suspect within ten minutes of receiving the reports. A handgun, confirmed to be a real firearm, was found in the man’s possession and subsequently confiscated (Ilta-Sanomat).
