Finnish MP Harry Harkimo and entrepreneur Jasmine Pajari marry in Sipoo
Finnish Member of Parliament and Chair of Movement Now (Liike Nyt), Harry "Hjallis" Harkimo, 72, and entrepreneur Jasmine Harkimo (née Pajari), 38, have married. The wedding took place on Saturday, 8 August, at Harkimo’s home in Sipoo.
The couple announced their marriage on Instagram, sharing several photos from the celebration. Yle reports that the newlyweds expressed their gratitude in the post, stating, "So grateful for all the love and happiness we have been able to experience." Jasmine Pajari has taken her husband’s surname.
The wedding was held in summery but windy weather, with preparations visible from the morning as catering services and vehicles registered to musicians arrived at the estate. Among the arrivals was a car belonging to Samuli Edelmann’s company (Ilta-Sanomat). Helsinki Bishop Teemu Laajasalo was also present at the venue, arriving in the afternoon.
Dozens of guests attended the celebration, including Harkimo’s sons Joel and Leo. Harkimo has three adult children—Joel, Leo, and Dan—from previous marriages. This is his third marriage, following unions with Leena Harkimo (1989–2002) and Merikukka Forsius-Harkimo (2004–2005). For Jasmine Harkimo, this is her second marriage; she was widowed in the summer of 2023 after a 13-year marriage. The couple shares a Labrador Retriever named Bruno, which they adopted in June. Jasmine also has another dog, Poika.
