The Finnish Police Union (SPJL) has strongly condemned the online targeting of a police officer involved in a controversial incident in Tuusula, where a 15-year-old moped rider was injured after being forced off the road by a patrol car. SPJL Chair Jonne Rinne emphasized the need to distinguish between legitimate criticism of police actions and personal attacks, which he described as crossing a line into "vilification" and "witch hunts." The union has now highlighted that much of the harassment has taken a distinctly gendered form, with the officer subjected to misogynistic slurs and stereotypes (Iltalehti).
