Nationwide fault causes delays in railway station announcements
A technical fault in Finland’s passenger information system has led to delays in railway station announcements across the country. According to Fintraffic’s Rail Traffic Control Centre, the disruption is affecting audio announcements, which are currently running approximately half an hour behind schedule (Yle).
Despite the delays, real-time information remains available to passengers. Both station display boards and the junalahdot.fi website continue to show up-to-date departure and arrival details (Ilta-Sanomat). The cause of the fault has not been specified.
Fintraffic has not yet announced when normal service will resume.
