Police Seek Witnesses After Assault in Joensuu

Police in Eastern Finland are appealing for witnesses following an assault in central Joensuu in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident occurred between Friday and Saturday night at approximately 02:00 on Siltakatu, in front of the restaurant Gloria. According to reports, a man was assaulted by kicking (Iltalehti; MTV Uutiset).

The suspected assailant is described as a man aged around 35–40, who was wearing a blue shirt at the time of the attack. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
