President Alexander Stubb makes third annual visit to Åland

President Alexander Stubb is visiting Åland today, accompanied by his spouse, Suzanne Innes-Stubb. This marks his third annual August trip to the autonomous region during his presidency.

During the visit, Stubb will meet with representatives of Åland’s regional government to discuss current matters concerning the region (Ilta-Sanomat). The presidential couple’s itinerary includes stops at the Strömsgården care home and the Solbacken daycare center, both located in the municipality of Vårdö (Yle, MTV Uutiset). Later in the day, they will attend a public event at Vårdö School, where they are scheduled to meet with locals at approximately 1:45 PM (Ilta-Sanomat).

The visit continues on Tuesday in Pargas, where Stubb will engage in discussions on the nature of the Archipelago Sea. He will also visit the bilingual campus of the Brava Learning Center, where he is set to meet with students (Ilta-Sanomat).
