Finnish study links sleep habits to working life expectancy after 50
A new study from the University of Turku has found that disrupted or excessive sleep in middle age may significantly shorten a person’s working life, particularly for those in lower socioeconomic positions. The research, which analysed data from over 70,000 Finns, suggests that severe sleep disturbances could reduce working years by up to eight months after the age of 50.
