Search underway for missing 75-year-old man in Kangasniemi

Police in Eastern Finland are searching for a 75-year-old man who went missing from his home in Suosaari, Kangasniemi, on Wednesday morning. The man disappeared between 7:00 and 11:30, prompting an extensive search operation.

According to the East Finland Police Department, the missing man may be moving with difficulty and was last seen in the Kiriselä area of Kangasniemi. While there is no confirmed description of his clothing, authorities indicate he may be wearing an orange or red baseball cap. A photograph of the man has been released to assist in the search (Ilta-Sanomat).

In addition to police patrols, the search effort includes the Volunteer Rescue Service and a Border Guard helicopter. Residents in the area have been urged to check unlocked buildings on their properties, as the missing man may have sought shelter in one of them. Iltalehti reports that sightings should be reported immediately to the emergency center at 112.
