Promising Results in mRNA-Based Skin Cancer Vaccine Trial

A new mRNA-based vaccine therapy for melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer, has shown promising results in a late-stage clinical trial. Pharmaceutical companies Merck (known as MSD outside the U.S. and Canada) and Moderna announced on Wednesday that their experimental treatment significantly reduced the risk of cancer recurrence and metastasis when used alongside an immunotherapy drug.
