Police in Central Finland are investigating two separate incidents of violence and threats against a 14-year-old in Valkeakoski, which occurred earlier this month. The acts were recorded and shared among youths, prompting authorities to warn against further distribution of the material.

The incidents took place between 5 and 8 August, with a crime report filed on 17 August, according to Iltalehti. Six minors, all under the age of 15 and previously known to the victim, are suspected of involvement. Ilta-Sanomat reports that some of the suspects may have participated in both incidents. Lead investigator Maijastiina Tammisto confirmed that none of the suspects are criminally liable due to their age.

Neither firearms nor bladed weapons were used in the assaults, though the victim was verbally threatened with a weapon, as stated in police bulletins cited by both Iltalehti and Ilta-Sanomat. Authorities have ruled out any connection to gang activity. The motive and further details remain unclear, as the preliminary investigation is still in its early stages.

Police have emphasised that sharing the recorded videos may constitute a criminal offence. Iltalehti notes that distributing such material could lead to legal consequences for those involved.
