Finland Confirms 19 African Swine Fever Cases in Wild Boar as Experts Warn of Seasonal Spread Risks

Finland has confirmed 19 cases of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boar, all detected in the Virolahti area during July and August. The Finnish Food Authority continues to monitor the infection zone, which includes Virolahti, Miehikkälä, and the southern part of Lappeenranta, where movement restrictions in forests, hunting, and forestry work remain in place (Iltalehti).
