Fatal Car Crash in Merikarvia Leaves One Dead and One Seriously Injured
A fatal traffic accident in Merikarvia early Friday morning resulted in one death and one serious injury. The incident occurred on Vaasantie Road, also known as Highway 8, where a car veered off the road before 6:00 AM.
According to the Southwest Finland Police, emergency services found a severely damaged passenger car near Kallela, with skid marks indicating it had drifted into the oncoming lane. The vehicle was traveling from the direction of Pori at the time of the crash. Two individuals were discovered near the car—one was declared dead at the scene, while the other was transported for medical treatment in serious condition (Yle, Ilta-Sanomat).
