Fatal Traffic Accident on Kuusamontie Claims Life of 50-Year-Old Driver
A man in his 50s died in a single-vehicle traffic accident on Kuusamontie in Kiiminki early Sunday morning. The incident occurred approximately 10 kilometers from Kiiminki in the direction of Pudasjärvi, where the car veered off the road and struck multiple trees at the edge of the forest.
Emergency services were alerted at 06:52, with police, paramedics, and rescue units dispatched to the scene. According to police, the vehicle was traveling from Pudasjärvi toward Kiiminki when it left the roadway to the right side of its direction of travel. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene (Yle).
