The prosecutor has decided not to press charges against Teemu Torssonen, 45, a former Jyväskylä city councillor, in a case involving suspicions of human trafficking and assault spanning over a decade. The decision, issued on 12 June, concludes a lengthy preliminary investigation into allegations that Torssonen subjected his former common-law spouse to physical and psychological violence, as well as coercion into forced labour, between 2010 and 2021.
