Suomen Oikia Oy has issued a recall for a batch of its Oikia Moomin organic pea-carrot-oat sausages after self-monitoring revealed levels of ochratoxin A exceeding the statutory limit. The affected product is packaged in 35-gram bags with a best-before date of 1 March 2027 and a GTIN code of 6430013258893 (Ilta-Sanomat).

The company states that while consuming the sausages does not pose an immediate health risk, prolonged exposure to ochratoxin A may lead to adverse effects. As a precaution, the product should not be consumed or given to children (Yle).

Retailers have been instructed to remove the affected batch from shelves. Customers who have purchased the product can request a refund by contacting Oikia through the complaint form on oikiasipsi.fi. The snacks should be disposed of as biowaste, with packaging sorted into cardboard (Ilta-Sanomat).
